Our PPP initiatives and support programme will provide workable strategies for local government agencies and the private sectors in working in partnership for the development of the local area and together we can jointly make our nations, communities and continent very great again. The whole world is waiting for Africa to manifest and take leadership in economic regeneration of its communities and we hope to begin the process in partnership with our government and other private investors/strategic agencies already working with us in Africa.
The support and encouragement of many administration in improving the image and culture of investment in Africa has greatly increase the continent’s financial ratings and has provided an opportunity for more direct foreign investments in key sectors.
RHEMA Consulting Group, a leading African-led management consultancy specialising in economic regeneration, strategic planning and change management, are the official event organisers of major investments and funding programmes for RegenAfrica development projects across Africa. We are very excited about the prospect for investment and regeneration opportunities within Africa and in particular in the growing awareness of PPP for major developments in the continent. The following Public Private Partnership events were organised by RegenAfrica on finance for local regeneration and development.
KEY FEATURE OF 2005 LONDON CONFERENCE
Our 2005 London Conference was chaired and officially opened by the Prime Minister of Tanzania, His Excellency Fredrick Sumaye now retired. He is currently a patron of the organisation and would be present at this year’s event as a keynote speaker and guest of honour to all invited guests/special dignitaries.
His contribution and support was most appreciated by all delegates and speakers which included Lee Jasper, Director of Equalities and Policing, Greater London Authority, Prof Mustapha, Oxford University, Prof. Samuel Mushi, Dar es Salaam University and a leading political analyst in East Africa and a host of other speakers from Japan Trade Organisation, Industries, Academia and financial institutions in London.
The theme of the conference was effective economic and political leadership in Africa. We had a total of 96 delegates and the conference and 110 for the dinner vent held at the Tower Thistle hotel to close the event.
KEY FEATURE 2006 DUBAI CONFERENCE
The focus of the Dubai conference was on finance for local regeneration and development with a particular emphasis on infrastructure.
The conference was chaired and officially opend by His Excellency, Air Commodore Dan Suleiman- Nigerian High Commission to Russia adn Ukraine (former). We were able to attract delegates from South Africa, Nigeria, kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, USA and UK. The event was also attended by a number of financial institutions and private investors from Asia, Middle East and USA.
A total of 80 delegates attended the 5 day event including the ABLN diner and tour of the City to view and discuss the development of the local infrastructure with our local partners and project developers.
As a result of the work of RegenAfrica in partnership with other funding/investment agencies, we are proposing to secure up to USD $10 billion in Africa over the next 10 years and we are currently considering a number of Public Private partnership projects in Africa.
Due to the extensive shake up of the systems of governance and increased democratisation of Africa, we strongly believe that the time is ripe for local grass root economic development supported by strong and effective leadership. At least a couple of governments have attempted local community development successfully in recent months. These good practices should now be mainstreamed across the continent and more importantly, the emphasis of the state should be on creation of opportunities, jobs, employment and sustainable development for the community.
